My progressive-liberal friends feel migrants are needed “to work in restaurant kitchens, mow the lawns, pick the crops”, as if illegal migration is simply a matter of filling a need for low-skilled low-paid employees. That said, a large percentage of 2023-2024 recently-arriving migrant adult men seem disinterested in those “migrant” jobs, content to live in shelters with a free phone, free food, free medical care, and free cash via monthly debit-card stipend – plus the illicit cash from petty thefts, shoplifting, and muggings. This no-borders policy that allowed millions of illegal aliens into our country was ill-conceived from the get-go and so very disrespectful of our citizens.
Democrats made the same arguments in 1861 when their slaves were freed: “Who will cook our food, pick our crops, clean our bathrooms…?” It’s a losing argument and I have no sympathy for them.

I hear people say that there is going to be a mass media campaign against the deportations unlike anything we’ve ever seen and the population is going to really upset. I think they are wrong. The United States became more dangerous during the disastrous Biden Administration. Open borders attracted criminals, and Biden’s handlers were committed not to follow the law.
