Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. This is not the job of a public, state supported college.
Well, much to your regret and mine the leadership there doesn’t see it that way.
So, is it the case all the Chinese students they’ve been recruiting to pay full tuition are spies for the CCP and U of I needs replacements or is it a case of needing even more foreign students to pay the bloated salaries and benefits of the “Diversity” Administrators?

It has one of the highest alumni loyalty scores in the country (the school exists for students), there are an incredible number of VA… Read more »
Does the Federal Government subsidize their tuition?
I guess this is necessary in order to pay the bloated salaries, and pensions, of the liberal lunatic professors. Those students from India will pay full tuition baby!
Illinois exports people, food, jobs, money, and education. If the foreign students paid for EVERY Illinois student who wanted to attend I would agree it’s good. But, as you said, the liberal lunatic professors, bloated administrators, and democrap slush funds benefit more.
How in the hell is this equitable?
