Sorenson’s main job before becoming a U.S. Rep was a weatherman here in Rockford. He was right maybe 50% of the time after looking out the window. So what other credentials did he have to be in Congress?

Head to Head: Compare Voting RecordsCompare the voting records of Nancy Pelosi and Eric Sorensen in 2023-24.

Nancy Pelosi and Eric Sorensen are from the same party and have agreed on 93 percent of votes in the 118th Congress (2023-24). Agree: 93%
Disagree: 7%

But they don’t always agree. Out of 873 votes in the 118th Congress, they have disagreed on 60 votes.

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
