Pretty ironic that Detroit is now telling Illinois to get with it.

So make a deal with Trump. Duh!
Just another case of the performative theatre kids running the Dem party being unable to govern successfully because they are unserious people who are only interested in destroying things, and lining their pockets with taxpayer money.

Interesting old documentary on Amazon Prime called The Fish Thief.
It documents the economic devastation to Superior, Michigan, Huron and Erie fishing industry as the Morley eel spread after improvements to the Welland Canal. Attempted corrections led to alewives and their solution Coho Salmon. Currently, Zebra Mussels, having arrived ships via the St. Lawrence Seaway, are filtering nutrients out of the water denying foo to smaller fish that the game fish prey upon.
The Great Lakes ecosystem is very delicate and we have a Governor in Illinois who believes water comes from a faucet.

I think Pritzker believes water comes from a bottle.

Funny how our clown governor says he has a duty to protect the taxpayers regarding this important project, yet he actively worked against Illinois taxpayers and did not protect them from being burdened with the cost of the illegal economic migrants. He proves yet again he is a total hypocrite. Maybe he and the other Democrats that control this state figure that given their policies have already killed the golden goose of downtown Chicago, what is the big deal if they also destroy the Great Lakes? Just grifters divvying up the spoils.

Yep, he is a miserable person. The worst thing is that this moron will screw around with this and cause the invasion of Asian Carp into lake Michigan, causing an irreversible event and changing the environmental make up of the lake forever…and then blame Trump…then walk off into the sun set, with no down side, no repercussions to his actions, no responsibility…Government is useless.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
