Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. The state’s existing buyout program for its own pensions is the precedent for Chicago, which should be a warning: Look out for similar exaggerated claims and shoddy analysis.

My oldest son went out of state to Ohio State University….he decided to leave this crazy looney left state of IL…can’t blame him. Can’t wait to see Ohio State demolish Univ of Illinois. Maybe they (IL) should focus on playing football and leave the woke slogans to the mob….
After last nights embarrassment, it seems that the Illini should have spent more time focusing on football than thinking about what kind of cute things to do to their helmets. They have no more right to express their opinion than any other American, That they do on a prominent stage, and then show they don’t belong on that stage is so typical. Nice job Josh and Lovie. I enjoyed watching real athletes crush these imposters. And all my kids are Illini.

As a Black whose extended families and myself lived in Chicago’s Lawndale, Garfield Park and Austin communities (1950s-2010s), when those communities were White, Integrated and Black, I know BLM is another scam. ?
More monies and government programs won’t work either, including Model Cities (1960s), Urban Renewal (1970s) and Empowerment Zones (1990s). ?

So a note to alumni of the U of I, stop donating money, dont attend football, basketball games ever again (if ever allowed again), stop buying merchandise and encouraged your kids to find a different college or university. What we are seeing is racism disguised as a phony social reform against whites.
