Used Car Retailer Carmax Reaches Settlement With Illinois, 35 Other States, Over Informing Customers About Needed Recall Repairs – NBC5 (Chicago)

The coalition of Attorneys General announced Carmax agreed to pay a $1 million fine, split among all 36 states involved, as well as ensure changes to its business plan after state authorities accused the company of “failing to disclose open safety recalls on used vehicles to consumers before sales.”
