Video Slot Machines Spur Gambling Revenue Windfall for Illinois – Bloomberg

Illinois’s tax collections from gaming climbed to a record of almost $2 billion in the year that ended June 30, according to data going back almost five decades. Video gaming currently represents about 41% of wagering revenue, while lottery makes up nearly 44%.

Now the state is stealing money from families of addicted gamblers. This breaks up families and causes great heart aches for tens of thousands of people. Children will go without need supplies so the state can collect revenue need to fund overly generous pensions. The state is despicable.
