Residents in all or part of 31 Illinois counties had the opportunity to vote on whether they think the state’s students should benefit from the Federal Scholarship Tax Credit program. A resounding 135,000 Illinoisans — over 63 percent of the vote total on the question as of Wednesday morning — had registered their support for participating.
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
