University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign will soon require diversity-contribution statements from all faculty members for tenure and promotion.The policy says that the departments’ evaluations of teaching, service and research and future potential “must, where appropriate, consider the candidate’s diversity, equity, and inclusion activities and their impact.”

Many companies already avoid UIUC graduates – counter productive to hire people who have been indoctrinated in wokeness. It will be interesting to see what UIUC graduates do after the real estate bubble in Chicago pops soon and many of the jobs go away.

So instead of actual work in legitimate fields of study, formerly respectable U of I is making professors do performative, virtue signaling, woke theatre of the absurd. No wonder Illinois high schoolers are looking for an education in other states.
