A minor scandal in Chicago in recent years has involved residents learning that the people who preside over the city’s unreliable and unpleasant public transportation rarely use the services themselves. Now one can imagine how commuters will react to news that in some cases they’ve been forced to pay for the transit bosses to avoid the city’s trains and buses.

How do you know this? I see lots of folks who appear to be on their way to or from jobs, or to partake of taxed entertainment.
A neighbor told me they personally used a train on the northside several weeks ago, and 1/2 of an entire train car was being used by a homeless vagrant as his ‘home’. He had clothes hanging up, a sheet blocking his ‘area’, a bucket for excrement…. the guy made the train his home…
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
