Among the consequences of economic growth that badly lags national averages are billions of lost revenue every year. Yet denial reigns in Illinois, fueling the vicious cycle of demand for higher taxes.
For any structural solutions that include major decreases in bloat via reduced salaries, number of employees, number of offices, etc., none of the Illinois or Chicago candidates will step forward because they’re all part of the grift that depends on continued misuse of taxpayer money.
