The SCOTUS will rule for the Federal side of things but allow the States to handle it their own way meaning, once again, the King of Illinois has spoken.
I doubt Illinois would adopt anything like the OSHA mandate on a state level, esp in an election year. This is mere posturing.

My employer, a national sports chain, announced last Wednesday that vaccine cards had to be uploaded into their HR system by 01/10. Failure to do so would mean termination.

sorry for you and so many other to lose your job because we are ruled by tyrants. I was not planning on going back into the office in Chiraq, so this makes it easier for me (for now). Unfortunately, moving out of his majesty kingdom is not an option since this will be required across all 50 states…
I wouldn’t get carried away. Employers are supposed to come into “compliance” with the diktat by the 10th which is tomorrow. Government bodies, particularly here in IL, will comply with their orders. Supreme Court court provide a ruling as soon as tomorrow but certainly before month end. Separately, don’t quit. Make your employer fire you. The employer doesn’t need an OSHA diktat to mandate jabs for the workplace. Some already have. I believe Accenture has required the jab to go into their offices for some time now. TBH I saw this coming so was able to line up another job with a national chain, privately held, with more pay and no mandate. Yet.
I am leaving on my terms. Not theirs.
