Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. The North Shore turned crappy when it went ‘woke’. It went from Mark Kirk RINO to TDS ‘woke’ in a matter of a few years. The houses are mostly old and overpriced, the people suck, country clubs are a waste of money, and even the beaches have mostly disappeared with rising lake levels. The taxes are outrageous and now, the residents, are simply unbearable. The commercial office market up there is practically dead and the schools can’t barely attract parents who want to send their children there anymore. North Shore = no thank you.
