Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Well Jamal the people in Lincoln Park are not in constant gang and drug wars and the children actually have fathers in the home not in gangs. Black lives dont matter to the assembled crowd of ghetto denizens who are shooting, maiming, and killing their fellow citizens at an alarming pace. As of 10am, today Sunday, 13 killed and 37 shot. 90% black, the rest Hispanic, since Friday noon. Amazingly not one police involved shooting. So far this year, 4 fatal police shootings, 6 wounded. The percentage of police involved shootings is somewhere less that 1% of all shootings. Saturday June 27, 2020 at 2PM a 1 year old boy was shot and killed while a passenger in a car driven by his 22 year old mother in the Englewood neighborhood of Chicago (Halsted Street near 60th Street). Saturday June 21, 2020 at 6:25PM a 3 year old boy was shot and killed while a passenger in a SUV driven by his 27 year old father in the Austin neighborhood of Chicago (600 block of North Central Avenue).
