2 supervising prosecutors suddenly quit at Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office – CWB Chicago

Two veteran prosecutors, both deputy supervisors in the Complex Homicide and Gangs unit at the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, suddenly quit Thursday. Varga, according to an office source, was getting ready for a significant case that will start jury selection later this month.

Foxx is trying to do as much damage to the few remaining prosecutors in the State’s Attorney Office as she can, before she leaves.

It appears the Mayor’s office isn’t the only one facing challenges. When will people recognize that the political environment in Chicago and the state is deteriorating? Many are frustrated with ineffective, ideologically driven leadership. The question is whether voters will take action or continue to watch things unravel.
