The school that coddled protesters and then capitulated to their demands in an unprecedented agreement during the 2024 anti-Israel protests will now recant as part of its deal with the Justice Department.

Prosecutors said Chicago police had already cordoned off much of the Loop for the anti-Trump demonstration when Deidre Kemp, 30, ignored officers’ verbal and physical attempts to redirect her. With her children in the car, she drove into the crowd near State Street and Monroe Street while shouting obscenities at officers, who chased her on foot.

A document called Chicago Public Schools’ Attendance Coding for Safety Concerns Related to Federal Representative Activity, obtained by education watchdog Defending Education, affirms that illegal immigrant students can be marked as “excused” if a parent conveys to the school a fear of federal immigration authorities.

The ages of the victims range from 18 to 49, according to Chicago police.
