3 bills would punish corrupt politicians in Illinois – Illinois Policy

A package of anti-corruption bills introduced in the Illinois Senate by state Sen. Andrew Chesney: one prohibits lawmakers from using campaign money to pay for legal defense, another fines felonious politicians $100,000 and one takes away their specialty license plates.

IL-one of the most politically corrupt states in the US. Been that way for decades. Politicians here will not touch it. That and Tier 1 public pension/medical are off limits. We will change that eventually, and that’s for sure.

Eventually? As has been said here already countless times any outright reduction or even dimishment of a public employee pension simply isn’t legal. Now, if you want to think of the term as something happening multi-decades who can say what that brings? Its not happening any time soon or even in the mid-distance future presumably.
