7 Officers Broke CPD Rules After Top Cop Found Drunk, Unconscious Behind Wheel: Watchdog – WTTW (Chicago)

Inspector General Joseph Ferguson did not conclude in the report released Friday that any of the officers deliberately covered up for the former superintendent. Instead, Ferguson’s investigation found the officers “failed to conduct a competent investigation.”

A set of state lawmakers want to extend CPS’ current school closing moratorium to February 1, 2027 – the same year CPS is set to transition to a fully-elected school board.
