Lori has someone on TV at her press conference yelling at everyone that White Supremacy and the 1619 virus caused last night’s riots. This is how Lori responds to the complete burning down of the city? To put on social justice warriors chiding me for white supremacy? It’s speaker after speaking blaming white supremacy for last night’s riots. Really? This is insane, no one feels any better that Lori is doing her job. Social justice after the city burns? I’m sure businsess and tax payers feel better now that Lori’s ‘on it’. what a complete disaster.

Trump’s America isn’t burning down. It’s celebrating watching their enemies destroy themselves from within. That isn’t happening in the Republican Party. We’re stronger than ever now.

“Plebes publica balneis contaminare” — (peeing in public baths) was not one of the crimes punished by the death penalty in ancient Rome. However, arson and counterfeiting were. See: https://prezi.com/v5952oding2g/crime-and-punishment-in-the-roman-empire/. Protesters seem likely to help Trump get out the vote, cluelessly fouling the nest they think they’re building, and helped along by reflexive virtue signaling from the left. How long before the politically correct acknowledge that they need the cops more than the rest of us?

They’re still not there yet. The cognitive dissonance is still swirling around in their brain, trying to understand these events. It might take a while. Some may never, until that is, the local whole foods or starbucks is destroyed. Oh, the injustice!

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
