Much of the routine trade and investment between China and America is entirely appropriate and in America’s interest. But inserting the Chinese Communist Party into America’s pay-to-play system and its economic development strategy isn’t just crossing a line. It’s a leap into an abyss of stupidity.

Why should IL young people attend the IL Universities? They are discriminated for being from good neighborhoods or being the wrong color….and then the preference is on racial picks that fit a certain agenda, and out of country people from India and China come in first because they pay more in tuition. I cant blame them for going elsewhere.
“Attractive academic programs and more palatable price tags lured Illinois high schoolers to out-of-state colleges.” The article goes on to suggest various reforms to make IL colleges more attractive.
But the again CLUELESS Trib Board missed the point. It’s not just the IL colleges that suck, THE ENTIRE STATE SUCKS. Reforming the colleges is like putting a band aid on a shotgun wound. It does nothing to fix the underlying problem. Students leave because there are so many other places in the US Better than IL. People from all walks of live are escaping the state.
