Bad things will happen if the federal government doesn’t fix the mistakes made by the fat, stupid, irresponsible, lazy, incompetent tax cheat Pritzker

de Blasio (I mean Warren Wilhelm, Jr.) said the same thing

LOL, too bad Trump wins and at best you get to keep the House … nah, who are we kidding, the leftist tears will be flowing in November, clean sweep!

And Pritzker gleefully stated just a few months ago that he and Chicago Democrats pushed through a balanced budget. Is Pritzker living in a fantasy land?

Get ready for the nightmare JB. The tax amendment is going to fail. Illnois is going to financially default and go bankrupt. On your watch. For the first time in your silver spoon life one of your enterprises will crash and burn. Daddy’s money won’t bail you at this time. Your dreams of buying a presidency like Bloomburg tired to do will go down with it. Sadly though, Illinois taxpayers will still end up screwed.

Maybe, but first they’ll simply raise the flat income tax. That will precede bankruptcy talk and pension-changing constitutional amendment talk at least once and maybe twice at most. Then, one way or another and certainly in the latter stages of Pritzker’s administration or the next the’ll have to get serious about these other options.

While this may well seem a heartless thing to say the one (minor) positive that may well happen if the flat tax rates rise above maybe 6% is that the ones who are above income tax exemption levels but still are poor and required to pay state income taxes will have the most incentive to move elsewhere since they have to scratch for a living more than the middle and upper classes. But, with more of them leaving there are less welfare and Medicare people to soak up… Read more »

Illinois could reduce spending by at least 25% and the working people would hardly notice. The state employees and the welfare people would definitely notice!
