CEO Larita Clark said the slew of canceled events at McCormick Place, North America’s largest convention center, cost MPEA about $90 million in net revenue.
Chicago for various reasons had pushed the convention business close to the edge. Now Lightfoot and Pritzker pushed too hard with the end result being a lack of future conventions. Each of those two will share in the blame of the future destructives that their edicts have caused as Illinois further becomes a haven for a welfare population that will trade its electoral votes for Federal funding for the welfare programs.

Until they get rid of the ridiculous union demands at McCormick Pl they will lose business. $50 to screw in a lightbulb or plug in an extension cord, $100 to hang a poster or picture. Ridiculous!

Orlando is where its at. My wife and I just got back from a Miami vacation. we only had to wear masks once. All 10 miles or so of Miami beach, hundreds of thousands of people, no masks. By the pool no masks. walking down the street, no masks. Most restaurants, no masks. Hanging out in the lobby, no masks. Florida is a sane place. One week of beautiful weather and no fear.

It’s not just covid, it’s Lori’s feral predators that are carjacking, robbing, looting and burning. The downtown will never come back because Lori allowed the blm mob to do what they want thus making the Mag mile, downtown and south loop totally unsafe. The convention business is over and Lori and the dummycrat party must pay.

Right, until the union decides not to work it or staff it. It’s becoming quite entertaining watching these machine democrats canabalise each other like starving rats.
If this bill passes, say goodbye to local control over all Illinois parks and expect to see open drug and alcohol use, needles, no sanitation and fire hazards, but no ordinary park users.
