Make security fixes or expect more waves of identity fraud, Illinois lawmakers are warned – Chicago Tribune*

IDES has said it’s working toward better security but worries tighter defenses may block out people who legitimately qualify for cash. But one expert who testified before the Illinois House Committee on Cybersecurity explained, “You can get a package delivered by Amazon in a trustworthy manner. You can make a transaction on a bank account and be safe. You can have the same thing with government programs.”

A qui tam lawsuit against fraudulent claimants would enable discovery of IDES dirty little secrets.
With IDES’ jealously guarded secrets exposed, reform might be possible .

The expert say at least $1 billion in fraudulent claims but IDES has no idea. All the fraudulent losses will have to paid back by taxpayers….I’m simply astounded no Republicans are riding this total incompetent jb flop to the victory line??

Republicans in this state don’t exist, there all in on it with the demons of Springfield, Jesus look at Kinzinger and Casten.
