Morgan Park High School’s council chair, Carisa Parker, said, “What may be best for Morgan Park may not be best for Lane Tech, and that’s OK."

No doubt this is being pushed by CTU. Get rid of police and hire more CTU flunkies. Once again, not what’s best for students, but what’s best for CTU
The average teacher “burn out” has only two avenues of escape. They can start slinking their way up the administrative ladder, counselor to assistant principal to principal to district office; or they can become a union activist and vent their anger and frustration hoping for a full time union position. Either way they are away from the classroom. Jesse Sharkey won’t be accosted, or humiliated in the schools because he is rarely in the schools when students are there.
