Opinion: Let’s Take Lake Michigan Away from Indiana – Chicago Magazine

"Clearly, there’s only one way to protect the lake from which 6.5 million Illinoisans drink water: Given its repeated abuse of Lake Michigan, Indiana no longer deserves to be a Great Lakes state... Indiana has only 45 miles of shoreline, compared to Michigan’s 3,224, but it sullies the waters far more. Michigan derives its identity from the Great Lakes, and takes their protection seriously."

Chicago Magazine, Crains Jr. Chicago has been an exemplary steward of the waterways for hundreds of years. Hmm..let’s talk about the South branch of the Chicago River, aka the Sanitary and Ship Canal. Sending Chicago sewage to the Gulf of Mexico! Indiana is our savior/ buffer from the mongrels of Ohio!

So many so-called pundits think Chicago owns the Great Lakes. Between Pawar turning Chicago’s water system into a cooperative and paying dividends, now you’ve got this guy forcing states to cede land.

The author of this drivel also complains on twitter about the Brave’s tomahawk chop and actively promotes a conspiracy theory that a Republican house of Representatives will steal the election and install Trump as dictator.

This guy is completely insane.

I have a better idea. Lets give Chicago and Cook County to the State of Michigan

Michigan doesn’t want Chicago or Cook County. It should be made into its own state. The State could be called Utopia.

There will be a wall built around it to keep residents from fleeing.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
