Fretting over Chicago’s tourism effort might seem like small potatoes, given the city’s troubles. But tourism is a $16 billion industry — or it was before the pandemic, at least. That kind of money puts bread on a lot of tables in this town.

Isn’t it just Marketing 101 to not use negatives in advertising? This has to be the dumbest slogan ever. Even beats Wander Indiana.

I used to enjoy going to Chicago. I can’t anymore due to the mayor’s strict COVID mandates and the high crime.

Get Robbed and Shot while sightseeing.
Get rushed to the hospital and die from Covid.
Fun and Carnage for the whole family.

Come to Chicago for the excitement! Like that feeling you get up the back of your neck when three thugs are overtaking your walking pace from behind. Or when you are being car jacked from your rental car. But make sure you are vaccinated because its illegal for you to eat at a restaurant in Chicago, if that was in your vacation plans. I’m not even a tourist but once in a while I’ll call up a restaurant there just to ask them if its still illegal for me to eat there. My wife and I have big driving plans… Read more »
