Report shows Illinoisans are split on banning critical race theory – KHQA (Quincy)

"When you look at those who do support a ban on CRT, you'll find the vast majority of those people support an honest teaching and education, including teaching about slavery and racism," said Kathi Griffin, the IEA President, in a presentation last week.

So what they’re saying is what I learned about slavery 40 years ago was not accurate. What new history have they uncovered that I wasn’t taught.

“We absolutely know that critical race theory is not taught in K-12 schools,” Griffin said.”

This is a lie. They teach all the elements of CRT without calling it CRT: white people are bad, BIPOC have no control over their lives because of systemic racism, police kill millions of unarmed black men a year, white people enjoy white privilege, white people have unconscious biases, your denial of system racism is evidence of your own racism, Columbus was a bad man, indigenous people are mythical peaceful people….

“… people support an honest teaching and education …”

An honest teaching and education does not include CRT – human beings are not born inherently anything based on the color of their skin. Teaching such nonsense to children should not only be banned, but should be crminalized.
