The bill’s House sponsor, state Rep. Chris Bos, said the state has to learn from mistakes made during the pandemic. “If we don’t take the steps now moving forward to look back and make adjustments where we need to make adjustments like this bill so family members are not dying alone, shame on us."
This bill is to prevent seniors from dying alone, arguments about who has authority to make decisions about visitation. If 10,000 seniors lost their lives of nearly 35,000 deaths in Illinois who is responsible to ensure their safety. If this bill passes, say goodbye to local control over all Illinois parks and expect to see open drug and alcohol use, needles, no sanitation and fire hazards, but no ordinary park users.
