Neiman Marcus hires gun-sniffing dogs to patrol Mag Mile store. And they apparently work. – CWB Chicago

Prosecutors say one of the gun-detecting dogs was on duty Monday afternoon when Derrick Latham, 23, walked into Neiman Marcus. Security officers stopped Latham and allegedly found a loaded 9-millimeter handgun in his waistband. They also recovered the stolen merchandise worth $995, five suspected Xanax pills, and 16 counterfeit $100 bills, Assistant State’s Attorney Loukas Kalliantasis alleged.

Instead of prosecuting Latham he should be put on a ballot. He seems to have all the credentials to be in the city council. He is properly medicated-has his own security with a 9mm-some worthless cash-some expensive belt buckles. Primed and Ready to serve.

They don’t call it the Mug Mile for nothing! Here’s an idea, when they lock up the fine, upstanding Mr. Latham, lose the key. Otherwise I guarantee we’ll be reading about him again within a few months.
