Ted joined Dan Proft and Amy Jacobson this week to discuss the fundamental problems J.B. Pritzker has campaigning for tourism to attract people to Illinois.
Ted stated, “Think about what the [Governor] has to overcome now. Over a thousand murders in Cook County. Everybody knows that is the biggest campaign that’s being covered by every newspaper and TV station across the country…It’s going to be tough. We’re going to need much more than a campaign. Especially since there a lot of other cities to visit that have a lot less crime.”

It’s like an abusive alcoholic husband that beats his wife and kids almost daily and guts the place in his fits of rage, and then wants to have family over for a dinner party to celebrate the couple’s anniversary. Tone deaf indeed!
The governor is promoting tourism in Illinois. That’s fine. But if I’m an out-of-at owner, I’m looking at the rest of Illinois. There’s Galena, Springfield, Shawnee National Forest, Starved Rock. “Our ideas and core principals simply have a marketing problem”
Said every committed Democrat ever.
Tourism ad, “Come to Chicago and see the chalk outlines of murder victims on the streets and sidewalks”. That should bring bus loads of visitors
That will bring busloads of victims too. More Chalk Lines will be the new sloagan
