Federal monitor finds Illinois prisons fail to provide adequate health care to inmates – Chicago Tribune*

The problems at IDOC are the latest to confront Gov. J.B. Pritzker over his administration’s management of state agencies, which has been a major avenue of criticism as he seeks reelection. Issues under Pritzker’s watch include the deaths of 36 veterans during a 2020 COVID-19 outbreak at a state-run home in LaSalle; the loss of nearly $2 billion through fraudulent payments made through the state’s Department of Employment Security; and accusations of mismanagement at the Department of Children and Family Services.

The real take away from this article is that Illinois has a LOL (Lack Of Leadership) governor. There was a contempt order 3 years ago and the moron’s response to reporters is a plan was filed in May, nobody got back to us. Other acts of LOL, the mess with DES, DCFS the loss of life in veteran’s facilities and let’s not forget the loss of life for approximately 35,000 Illinoisans from Covid. Adequate compared to what?
Prisoners probably get better care than when they’re not in prison, meaning the prison care is adequate.

That’s my take on the subject. They probably get better care than many taxpayers who manage to stay out of trouble.

Maybe the “Tyrant Pritzker” can spare some money from the state’s Budget Stabilization Fund to help the prisons. The fund currently has over a billion dollars which is a record thanks to the “Tyrant”.

Well then let the prisoners go out on a weekend pass and find some fresh kidneys/livers/hearts/lungs/spleens/duodenum’s/etc to improve their lives. Many choices to pick from in Chicago.

I’ve got some bad news for you. Many citizens who’ve never been in prison have difficulty obtaining adequate health care too.
