That’s one way to make up for the population loss of the middle class. Except these “migrants” don’t pay taxes but soak up government social services. Get enough illegals, maybe IL can get back one of its lost congressional seats.
The migrants have been coming here for years. Look at the foreign born population today compared to 20 years ago. Even DuPage County is no longer natives. My mother’s side of the family has been in IL by my count now for 6 generations including my son since the 1880’s. My great-grand parents married in Chicago in the 1910’s. I have pictures of their wedding in my basement. My great great grand parents arrived decades before my grand parents married. Now all of conservative voting descendants of those folks have left the state of IL and have been replaced post-1965… Read more »
