This man is a politician. He’s not interested in legislating because his votes have been decided beforehand, he’s one of 50 senators that votes the Democrat position on every issue. So he’s grandstanding instead, using every opportunity to attack his political opponents and giving his Democrat voters red meat. They want to see Abbott attacked and he’s merely giving his voters what they want. No substance, just old pit bull.
I imagine Durbin has a nice 3 or 4 bedroom home somewhere here in Illinois and how many of those bedrooms are occupied? How many illegals will Durbin take in? How about 3 or 4 hard core Islamists from Somalia to start with. Or how about a few unvetted Iranians? Yemen has a few former terrorists looking to lay down their heads. C’mon Dick grow a set an invite some guests.
What about the overnight flights full of migrants being dumped throughout the country?
Any comments on that, Mr. Durbin?

It would be nice if Sen Durbin cared about citizens in Illinois, but he does not. Just more bloviating and grandstanding from Democrats.

What’s cruel and inhumane is that the people of Illinois have been represented by Do Nothing Durbin for decades.

They are able to vote. Not getting your way in an election doesn’t mean you have no representation. It means other residents of the state don’t agree with you. Get over it, work to convince others to see your position, or move away. The constant whining about not having a voice from both the left and right is absolutely ridiculous.
This is true Republicans have a voice but the Democrats won. It’s just too bad that Democrats are now using that power to silence Republicans voice by declaring 75,000,000 MAGA voters are an existential threat to the republic and extraordinary measures will be employed against them to ensure that their version of ‘democracy’ wins over the MAGA republican’s version of democracy. This is not hyperbole. Biden stood on stage and threatened half the country because Republicans do not subscribe to his version of Democracy.
I don’t agree with Biden either. If Trump made that speech going after the left in the same way his supporters would be thrilled. It’s red meat for the animals. The main difference is that the MSM allows democrats to get away with by comparison. That still doesn’t excuse all the whiny little babies that can’t accept the outcome of an election. Correct, not getting your way in an election doesn’t mean you shut down the state for two years by refusing to obey the constitution and pass a balanced budget.
