Pritzker signs Illinois’ 34th Covid Disaster Proclamation even as Biden proclaims ‘Covid is over’ – Wirepoints Quickpoint

By: Ted Dabrowski

Never mind that President Joe Biden declared “the pandemic is over” during a 60 Minutes interview Sunday night. In Illinois, it’s apparently still a “disaster” that warrants a declaration covering the entire state – all 102 counties.

Gov. Pritzker issued his 34th Disaster Proclamation on September 16, 2022, marking more than 900 days of Illinoisans living under emergency rules. The governor has retained the use of Emergency Powers for more than two-thirds of his time in office.

It’s another reminder of just how extreme Pritzker’s Covid policies have been relative to the rest of the country. The disaster declaration continues to give the governor power to rule without checks and balances from the legislature.

If you think that’s too harsh an assessment, you should know that all of Illinois’ neighbors ended their emergency orders months ago (Wisconsin, 1.5 years ago, and Michigan, nearly two years ago).

For a deeper look at the details of Pritzker’s Covid policies, check out Wirepoints’ work:

We should be berating our state representatives. They have closed their eyes to this dictatorial run. If they took to the floors of the state Senate and House and demanded accountability from the governor and reengaged their authority, this would stop. Instead, they are complicit in allowing this dictatorship to continue. Vote them all out, including Republicans, because they are just milquetoasts.

Never, Ever vote for a Democrat or anyone who looks like a Democrat. The legislature does whatever Arbuckle wants! Their reward is a small seat on the gravy train. These people can’t be trusted!

Read “Rules for Radicals” by Saul Alinsky. Everyone who reads this site needs to read that book. I’m sure Pritzker carries it with him and quotes from it instead of a Bible. He knows exactly what he’s doing. This is one of the many ways he controls all of us in Illinois

Start doing some research on how the Pritzger family is behind the push for gender change. His “sister” is a tranny.

Pandemic is over. So now no masks at the doctor, dentist, optometrist or hospital? Congress will end proxy voting and require attendance like its been for 200 years? All the Covid pork projects end including student loans? Certainly there is no politically convenient compelling reason to have mail-in voting either right? And certainly gyms, small stores, bars, restaurants, etc. will receive legal remedy in the courts for the way they were literally threatened with arrest and physically shut down by a Covid police force? Covid the virus has long been over. But the most harmful politically-motivated part of Covid now… Read more »

EXTREME
This is a perfect word to describe Mr. P.
I’ll bet he was a school yard bully.
He has all the ear marks of the kid on the play ground who was the bully doesn’t he?
He has been bullying Illinois since the “Scamdemic” began.

I think he was the kid chosen last, and the kid who stood by himself at recess; now, we are paying for that, just as we are for Merrick Garland.

He is the disaster. As long as JB, Little Lori Daddy Issue, Anthony Preckwinkle and Kwame Thornley Raoul are in office, they need to keep rubber stamping that disaster proclamation.

The fat man knows there’s no pandemic, doesn’t he? Biden said the pandemic is over, just in time for the midterm elections! Why is the fat man bitterly clinging to this far-left conspiracy theory that there’s still a pandemic going on? He should declare a state of emergency over an alien invasion, there’s as many alien invasions going on as there are pandemics.

Not all of the people but many. There are millions of voters who wanted these self inflicted wounds. That is the reason that I believe it may be too late. When you have basically a one party system we are rapidly approaching California as one of the big states on its way to absolute failure. I am not sure Bailey and Vallas will be enough. I hate to lose hope but I just don’t feel good about it.

Covid has been over for a while now, with the onset of Omicron it was definitely over. The latest Harvard study also concluded that the vaccine is more dangerous than Covid. Covid was always about political science not science, it was always about submission, power and government control. People who willingly took a drug completely untested on humans have proven themselves to be the most submissive. Until those people grow a pair of balls Pritzker will keep this game going as long as he can.

I thought the basic reason jb & the machine keep reissuing the covid disaster proclamations is because it allows them to keep funneling fed covid $funds$ into Medicaid, food stamps, etc w matching fed $ and temporarily mask over illinois disastrous financial position. And keep poor folks from fleeing the state along w everyone else…..in the foreclosure capital of America

When faced with a dilemma, a common approach is to list the pros and cons of your options. I suggest Illinois residents give it a try regarding whether they should stay or leave the state.

The housing crash I predicted a few months ago is finally happening. The price differential between living in IL and other locales is finally tightening. Next year the move will finally start to make financial sense but it will take years for the ‘bottom’ to be priced in. As bad as IL is, it’s not worth destroying your financial future today just to leave. IL is not Ukraine or Syria.

Definitely a tough call for most…to stay or leave. For me it was both a financial and moral decision. I wasn’t just that the taxes were ridiculous, it was how they were being used that caused my exit. Also, being both white and a Christian, I felt increasingly less welcome.

I know plenty of people who’ve left but like any move to a different area it comes with great cost. For example, one person I know sold their house IL to move to FL, but housing prices are too expensive in FL. Another person I know left IL for a purple state only to have their industry shut down during ‘rona. I too went out west to a red state for a vacation during ‘rona, and to scope out housing prices, and my modest 2,000 sq ft house would cost 33% more in the western state, in some HOA subdivision,… Read more »

Definitely need to run the numbers going out 10 years at least. It’s easy to assume that Illinois taxes will keep increasing and real estate values will not keep pace with many other states. Lots of historical data out there to make a reasonable projection using conservative percentages.
But at some point quality of life has to enter the picture. What kind of life would you like to be living 10 years from now?

debtsor

Reply to  Ataraxis

IL housing prices will likely decline less compared to other places over the next several years because IL appreciated less. Price appreciation in the past several years has been almost hyperinflationary in some markets, doubling in the past three or four years. The locals can’t even afford to live there.

The #1 reason to leave IL is because it’s a solidly blue state and all of the problems that arise from that.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Audio here.
