Gov. J.B. Pritzker’s extraordinary call last month that two fellow Democrats resign from the Illinois Senate — one for alleged bribery and the other over accusations he acted inappropriately toward women — underscores two major questions that for years have plagued Springfield. First, will corruption in Illinois politics ever reach an end point? And second, will the culture in the state’s capital that five years ago triggered a series of #MeToo scandals ever be fully addressed?

And Pritzker will the Jenny Thornley case (coverup) by you and states attorney Raoul ever be resolved, be a man Pritzker and grow some balls and admit to what has happened. I call for your resignation effective immediately Pritzker.

These districts are D+90 and there’s rarely a competitive primary. Half these reps. are hand-picked by the party for their seats and often have no primary opponents. The IL Dem Party calls this ‘Democracy’ despite having more in common with the Chinese Community Party structure than any other democracy we would recognize. Our elected reps are more like bureaucrats appointed by central command with the veneer of ‘democracy’. And just like China, the bureaucrats are mostly corrupt, and serve the party’s interest as much as they serve their own. They don’t even see themselves as elected.
