Unless a judge steps in, Illinois is poised to become the first state to completely eliminate cash bail. Other states have tried limited versions of what Illinois is about to do, with varied results. “Everyone wants to be safe,” said Insha Rahman with the Vera Institute of Justice. “It’s a kitchen table issue.”

Imagine being a ‘journalist’ so out of touch, and so stupid, that you think it’s a good idea to use crime ridden hellhole Washington DC as the very first example of why bail reform works! Last year’s crime rate was at a 15 year high!

The criminals will run wild, like they are doing now but just add more fuel to the fire. Cops will do nothing about it, just like they are doing now. Slowing but surely the Chitty of Chicago will become a ghost town for honest hard-working taxpayers and the criminals will own it. This is the KISS OF DEATH for Chi Town.
