Ted joined the Steve Cochran Show to talk about what caused 104,000 people to leave Illinois in 2021, how the “Workers’ Right Amendment” and its banning of Right to Work may deter businesses from coming to Illinois and the 41 percent increase in crime in Chicago in 2022.

If this bill passes, say goodbye to local control over all Illinois parks and expect to see open drug and alcohol use, needles, no sanitation and fire hazards, but no ordinary park users.
Do any Chicagoans who support their unions ever cross city boundaries to buy less expensive gas? Do residents of Cook County go across county lines for cheaper prices? Do CTU diehards use CPS for their own children? These are the same people who berate companies for avoiding Illinois but see no hypocrisy in acting in their own best interest.
Yes Illinois sends a lot of gov sector pension checks to Florida, Tennessee, Arizona, etc. Illinois union members are the first to bail Illinois after they’ve spent their careers fleecing IL taxpayers. They’re not dumb that’s for sure.
When idiots are in charge, you get idiotic, poorly thought out laws. Or not thought out at all!
Take a ride down I-65 through Indiana ,Kentucky, Tennessee and Alabama and you will see the result of Illinois’ decades of wrongheaded policies re labor, manufacturing and union coddling. There must be fifty brand new auto plants, parts manufacturers and auto shipping facilities on that route. All right to work states and all with better workers comp frameworks. The EV industry knows the reality, and the site selections they make reflect that knowledge.
It is the same if you drive throughout the Chicago suburbs and the state, there are empty or nearly vacant office buildings everywhere. Companies don’t want their corporate offices here and no new IL companies are growing quickly enough to fill the office towers. On my drive to my office, I pass half a dozen other vacant office towers. Our newest residents work in landscaping, food service and crime, not in professional, managerial or back office work.
If you have an electric car, you do not need a tank of gas to get out of Illinois.
Illinois Politicians – comtrolled by their union bribes – are too dumb to realize that they are killing all business in the state. No manufacturer will choose to build anything in Illinois when there are 47 other states more business friendly. California, New York and Illinois are the union enslaved outliers.
Funny how green tech businesses know that union racketeered Democrat states are poison for business
