Rep. Kelly Cassidy filed the bill Thursday afternoon; More than 20 representatives of the working group signed on as co-sponsors. Later that day, the bill passed the House Executive Committee 9-6 along party lines. And in the evening, the bill passed 67-41.
If this bill passes, say goodbye to local control over all Illinois parks and expect to see open drug and alcohol use, needles, no sanitation and fire hazards, but no ordinary park users.
