City Council Introduces Ordinance to Change Location of Outdoor USPS Boxes in Response to Recent Robberies – NBC5 (Chicago)

Under the proposed ordinance, existing cluster mail boxes with eight or more addresses would have to be moved inside buildings by Oct. 15 – if the ordinance passes. The proposal comes as two mail carriers were robbed at gunpoint Thursday on their routes on the South Side.

What kind of society do with live in where mail carriers can’t even deliver mail. Low trust societies with high crime are awful places to live.

Why do you think the Chitty of Chicago cops flee to Punta Gorda, Florida ASAP. They never look back.

They want the keys from the mail carriers! If I remember correctly, the keys are universal, and criminals can do all sorts of mail scams because Illinois doesn’t care about covid relief fraud, unemployment fraud, or whatever else thugs can dream up.
