300,000 Illinoisans still without jobs, Illinois the nation’s 2nd-worst state for work – Wirepoints Quickpoint

303,000 Illinoisans were still without a job in December, leaving Illinois with a 4.7 percent unemployment rate, the second-worst rate in the country. Nevada, which suffers the nation’s worst unemployment, was at 5.2 percent, according to the latest release from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

All of Illinois’ neighboring states have unemployment rates that are significantly below those in Illinois, most notably in Wisconsin, Indiana, Iowa and Missouri, where unemployment rates are 1 to 2 percentage points lower.

The private sector is FLEEING Illinois because the State has done its best to discourage business and it is working well. Run for your economic life. If you are young start your career somewhere else.
