Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. The gangs give them a better deal than the Chitty of Chicago does. At least the gangs will do what they are paid to do. Much lower cost as you do not have to pay for Luxury homes in Punta Gorda, Fl.
Lightfoot sets crime fighting back 100 years — to the days of street protection rackets
Actually, as the progressive agenda evolves I expect “protection” organizations to make a comeback. They’ll be private of course and have a way of rendering their services without COPA oversight.
