A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
When I consider a purchase I first assess the necessity, then where the money to pay for the item(s) is coming from. Savings? Credit card? A gift? Perhaps legislators should ask themselves … where is the money to fund their latest, greatest idea is coming from. If the state can’t afford it, then perhaps it shouldn’t be considered. The state’s credit card is overdrawn.
