True. Even here around Chicago, I’ve heard quite a few people say it would almost be best for Johnson to win to “get it over with.”
Aka Dan Proft every morning for four hours. But Brandon Johnson isn’t merely getting it over with. Chicago isn’t going to collapse overnight if he’s elected. Brandon is merely the next phase in Chicago’s sad and depressingly long and slow decline into blight and misery. Whomever comes next after Brandon in 4 or possibly 8 or 12 years will be even worse than Brandon. Remember that many big cities in 2020 had insanely progressive mayors.
