Several Illinois agencies asking for more taxpayer funding to boost salaries – Center Square

State Rep. Martin McLaughlin said there is a simple reason why state agencies including the Illinois Liquor Control Commission, Illinois Arts Council, Executive Ethics Commission, and the Commission on Equity and Inclusion are asking for more funding: “It's too much government spending and that in itself causes the devaluation of the dollar.”

Hmm, just raise alcohol taxes to pay higher liquor commission salaries. There, I fixed it.

Not quite………Illinoisians will just get their hooch in Wisconsin or Indiana.
