There are no institutional voices condemning the mess on Chicago’s streets because the pendulum has not swung to peak chaos yet. – Wirepoints on AM 560 Chicago’s Morning Answer

Ted joined Dan and Amy to talk about the “teen takeover” of Chicago’s downtown, the lack of response from Chicago’s traditional institutions, how New York City managed to get its homicide problem under control decades ago, the problem of repeat criminal offenders, Brandon Johnson’s potential tax hike trouble, and more.

Never in my life did I think Liberalism would play out to its inevitable end. Chicago truly has gotten the government that it votes for. I thought I would never see the day.

I am neither shamed nor embarrassed – Chicago is a poster-child for the failure of liberal, progressive, Democrat party policies.

This is not a lack of options or opportunities, it is a failure of parenting. A failure to establish standards, morals, values, respect for others, each other, education, and the power of assimilation into something greater than just yourself.

Chicago, you get/got that for which you voted…. Someone cue Nero…

Lift the draw bridges and close it off. The Police can’t stop and can’t even get out of their cars. If they did, they would HAVE to do something…and that something would not be pretty for the cameras – because it can not be pretty. Violence put upon innocent people need to be met with swift action and greater Violence against the criminal. Period. It is the only thing that is understood. There is no fear of jail, no fear of arrest. The only thing that impacts these criminal’s behavior is how bad of a beating am I going to… Read more »

very interesting look inside what the city council will consist of and the hopes of the (self-described btw) socialist alderpeople – https://bourbonnbrowntown.simplecast.com/episodes/ep-90-electoral-radical-politics-40-ft-alderman-byron-sigcho-lopez-alderperson-elect-jessie-fuentes

If people are acting like this BEFORE the economy collapses and food is hard to find, it is really going to be a mess when FJB and the ruling class do destroy what is left of the country.

Since CPD regularly monitors Social medita atTHE Strategic Territorial Imperative Center, I assume they’re aware of locations exposed to violent mob action and random beatings. Why not issue public service announcements telling people and folks locations to avoid? Instead I suspect the powers that be want the police as far away from the action as possible because it’s allOK , with those in power. Murder, robbery and beatings area just part of the Chicago experience.

This is just Round 2 of 2020 and 2021’s weeks of pandemic looting and rioting (news that was suppressed by Tribune and Sun Times and only covered by https://cwbchicago.com/ and Wirepoints). These animal youth were with their ‘parents’ in the minivans and cars that converged on downtown to loot and now they are a bit older and they want free shoes of their own.

Peak Chaos will look like Caracas, Venezuela or Cape Town, South Africa. There won’t be anyone left to care about swinging the pendulum back because those that remain will be the ones responsible for the mayhem.

Stop and Frisk are now swear words. Until we get back to even a modicum of basic common sense and following the rules of law it will be more chaos. Interesting how they sit on their own hands for young black males who shoot and kill each other. This includes politicians like Foxx, Evans, Johnson, Bragg, its hypocrisy at its finest. Talk about insulting fellow blacks intelligence! Until everyone stops buying into the black, hispanic, asian, and white race hustlers they will peddle their guilt on others while never addressing the core values problem. This is all they really have… Read more »

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
