Report: Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker’s Health Care for Illegal Aliens to Cost Taxpayers $1 Billion Next Year – Breitbart

While tens of thousands of illegal aliens continue to be bused to the sanctuary city of Chicago, Republican lawmakers in the state are sounding the alarm over the economic and social burden that the new arrivals are set to impose on taxpayers. Since Pritzker likes throwing money at everything let him pay for it.

If the population of Illinois today is roughly 12.5 million people, and Pritzker wants to spend $1 billion on Illegal alien healthcare, that is $80 for every man woman and child in Illinois. Assuming children, unemployed, and a heckuva’ lot of other folks who live here don’t pay a penny in taxes, just how much does it actually cost those who really contribute? $200? $300? $400? More? per person. The number is mind blowing.

In antiquity, the various city states and tribal areas used to pay tribute to the ruling Empire at the time, whether it was the Akadians, the Persians, the Hittites, the Eqyptians, and so on. The entire town or tribe would have to gather up a largely punitive tax of metals and crops and husbandry and tender it to the Empire’s tax men, or, face certain invasion and death. These days we pay tribute to a foreign regime too. They’re called the Democrat Party of Illinois. Round boy is a billionaire. Why isn’t he covering the tab if he wants to give all his new friends health care?

Don’t forget the lifetime unfunded health care costs for union members and retirees which may be close to $73B+. I don’t think there is a specific fund just pay as you go.

And yet their benefits are still being paid. The same would happen to the pension funds in the state. Just pay as you go and more taxes to cover.

Pay more now or pay a lot more later.

Thanks. I didn’t think there was a pay as you go. Is there any oversight for the medical expenses from the state? You are well aware that I am concerned about fees and expenses occurred both in health care and pensions. Are these management fees checked by state authorities? Every 10 years fees are in the billions of $$ just for pensions but what about health care? Look at Pennsylvania- This is going on in most states. https://gettysburgconnection.org/hidden-pension-management-fees-hundreds-of-millions-of-pennsylvania-dollars-could-become-public/ https://www.pewtrusts.org/en/research-and-analysis/articles/2022/01. https://www.pewtrusts.org/en/research-and-analysis/articles/2022/01/18/pennsylvania-pension-fund-initiates-shift-to-lower-cost-investment-strategy Do you know if this is going on in Illinois? Looking into pension and healthcare fees would go a long… Read more »

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
