So in addition to the pension bomb, how many more millions will be needed in the city budget and Medicaid budget to feed, house, care for them? Can’t see Pritzker and the state kicking in.
They are criminal illegal immigrants. Deport them.
All this seemed to be under control when Trump was running things.
Biden created this mess and now he ignores it.
What a frustrating time for American citizens.

I think that all of the alarm is hilarious! All the border states have been suffering this for years now and only when it becomes painfully obvious to the “progressives” it is now a crisis. And these same fools will vote over and over again for the very people who gave them these idiotic policies.
As I have said in the last few years , the real Pandemic is one of profound stupidity.

My prediction is that they’ll turn an immediate woke-n-progressive circle-jerk into another intergenerational lifelong pestilentially burdensome taxpayer affliction.
I know a guy who is a teacher in one of these suburbs where the illegals are flocking. He teaches the illegal children and their anchor babies in the classroom. He says they are, for the most part, not interested in learning, and the parents are mostly absent, working multiple jobs. The kids here just don’t care to learn, they mostly don’t understand what is going on in the classroom, and don’t recognize or understand how education is one of the keys to success in American life. Illinois taxpayers pay Medicaid ‘insurers” (see Centene. See Centene Pritzker investment). Capitation per patient provides unique profit opportunities: make it so confusing, uncomfortable, or impossible for recipients to access the actual medical goods or services, that they just give up trying. Or often, volunteers/medical professionals who just cannot stand to see human suffering pay for the patient care out of their own pockets. It is disheartening to know that Pritzker investment in risk-free ‘healthcare insurance’ MCOs grow more profitable with every capitated patient enrolled in MMAI and MLTSS and ICP, because of such (non-deductible) charitable contributions from volunteers. Has the # of undocumented immigrants somehow increased to ‘humanitarian crisis’ level from past decades? Answer– the city has no idea and don’t care.
