This scheme is what dead beats do – stretch things out and borrow even more. Even if enacted there is no fiscal discipline with Democrats to make the flat pension payments – their new spending plans are enormous. The only way out is if payouts come into line with contributions.

The new spending plans on top of crushing current debt is the Chicago way.
In the vein of “shot first and ask questions later,” the Democrats say, “Spend first and figure out how to fund it later.”
