Illinois SAFE-T Act: Kim Foxx touts successes one month after implementation – FOX32 (Chicago)

During the first month, the Cook County State's Attorney's Office reported that a total of 649 detention hearings were requested, with detention being granted in 60% of the cases. Also, there has been a 12% reduction in the overall jail population, dwindling from 5,531 a year ago to the current 4,846.

LOL, the law is a success because it jails fewer people committed of crimes.

The success’ will be measured in a year or two from now as this is not an instantaneous thing but rather builds upon itself as multiple offenders continuously multiply.
