Woman shot while exiting car in Edgewater, where shootings are way up this year – CWB Chicago

As of Wednesday evening, 18 people have been shot in Edgewater this year; that’s up from five for all of 2023 and ten for all of 2022. Notably, seven of this year’s 16 victims were shot in six different incidents at a single housing complex in the 6000 block of North Kenmore.

Bang-Bang Maria Hadden! This Marxist-activist alderwoman thinks if she ignores her ward’s street-crime problems, if she suppresses info on shootings in ward, then both the street-crime and those pesky shootings didn’t really happen. Must be fake news, from some random MAGA person, figment of some conservative suburbanite’s vivid imagination. For Hadden, never acknowledged means never happened, means no aldermanic action or response needed. For her, noting crime activity is racist, and complaining about crime is white privileged elitism. I have left-wingnut family friends that live in this neighborhood. There’s a lot of liberals in this neighborhoods. They want their kids to be raised in a diverse neighborhood. There are safe diverse neighborhoods, but Edgewater is not one of them. I hope they stay safe, but they should be forced to bear the consequences of their stupidity.
